This is the tour for those who want to try skitouring and experience what it’s like to ski real off-piste and for those who want to go with a guide to find the best slopes for the day.
In the northern Lapland mountains around Abisko there are several incredible off-piste runs, everything for the beginner to the extreme skier. There are nice rides from all the mountain peaks visible from the road, but there are no lifts. So the best way to enjoy the mountain sides is to put on alpine touring skis and slowly make your way up on your own machine while enjoying the views of untouched mountains together with a guide.
The location of this tour can wary depending on the participant’s ski-level, conditions and prevailing weather conditions to create the best possible experience for you as a guest. Our skitouring guides are avalanche trained via SWELAV and have great competence in terms of safe route choices in mountain terrain during winter conditions and have rescue training in the event of an avalanche.
Prior knowledge:
Easily able to ski downhill on a red-marked piste.

We did the morning snow shoe experience with Aril. We had a fantastic morning. Aril was so fun, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He set the pace according to our group’s ability and we made it to a local viewpoint. All the while he pointed out animal tracks, bushcraft techniques, geographical features, historical and modern land uses. I would highly recommend this tour for an introduction to being out in the Abisko wilderness.

Emilia, Robin and David were amazing, we had a group experience of ice climbing some days ago and they were really kind and professional! They provided us with all the necessary equipment, tips on how to climb and also a hot drink to warm us up from the cold!

We did the ice climbing with our two teenagers. Anna was our guide and was so delightful! She really took care of us and motivated us to try our hardest to get up the waterfall. We left feeling very accomplished and respectful of those that participate in the sport. Very happy to have done this adventure!

Through and through an awesome experience!
Our guide David was friendly, knowledgeable and could assist and support us depending on prior experience, something that made it fun both me and my brothers!
Highly recommend!
